A+ for the venue, C or even D for the property management We absolutely LOVED our venue, but we had way to many hoops and hurdles to jump through THE WEEK BEFORE our wedding and it added a lot of last minute, unexpected stress and cost that we weren't prepared for. The property management group changed twice within the year and they were very unaccomodating. I understand how things work contractually but I felt the person they had in charge could've been a little more flexible and helpful. The morning of, my DOC had to track them down because the parking attendants weren't notified that we pre-paid for parking for our guests. FLORIST
We're using Pupa Flowers and Weddings to do our centerpieces and the aisle, alter and mandap decorations. (http://www.pupaflowers.com/) Her prices are excellent and she has an artsy eye that we love. A+ HIGHLY RECOMMENDED She did an amazing job and I would strongly recommend her. She took our thoughts and our description fo what we envisioned and totally impressed us. Pupa did our bouquets, centerpieces, and aisle decorations. We couldn't stop talking about her arrangments even after our event. She also was the most reasonable as far as cost that we found. WE LOVE PUPA! CATERER INSTYLE CATERERS (301-486-0300) - We love Denise...she gets our vision and is making it happen for us at a price we can afford. She's GREAT! (http://www.instylecaterers.com/) A+ HIGHLY RECOMMENDED Denise worked with us every step of the way to make our vision come to life. I think I may have talked to about 20 different caterers and I think it was meant to be that we found Denise. She understood the level of depth with bringing two cultures together and was so accomodating. She understood our vision but even more made everyone understand what it was also and didn't sacrifice a thing when it came to quality. Cost was definitely reasonable for what we've been quoted by other caterers but was much more personalized. PHOTOGRAPHER FOOTPRINT FOTOS (202-526-6879) - We shopped around A LOT for a photographer, because we initially underbudgeted for this. Our searching was well worth the wait! We got an excellent package and it includes so many extras that other photographers charged way too much for including a free engagment photo sitting and make up. Prices are good and experienced with the venue. (http://www.djhawk.net/) C In our first meeting with DJ HAWK we were excited. It seemed like he really grasped the type of music and event we were looking for. He did a great job during the ceremony, but we weren't very happy at the reception. Our intro was delayed for several minutes because it seemed like he didn't have the intros ready to go. Finally when they did start, even though I spelled the names out phonetically and went over them with him the night before, the names were a total mess. I can understand our bridesmaids and groomsmen, but he got my husband's father's last name wrong, which is now our last name??? He also played country music, which we were confused about, because country never even came up during our discussions other then things we didn't want played. The reception music didn't go smoothly either. I felt like I had to keep coming up to him to play music or make announcements to get people dancing. INDIAN CEREMONY DECOR A+ HIGHLY RECOMMENDED Priti Verma with L'Ambience did our alter/mandap decoration. She did an AMAZING JOB! She really worked with us to stay within our budget and even came to our rescue at the last minute when we didn't have someone to do pipe & draping for us. Everyone still can't stop talking about the mandap. She is STRONGLY RECOMMENDED if you want something unique and different from the typical mandap. She is great at what she does!

We loved what they did with our hair and even more for taking us 3 DAYS BEFORE OUR WEDDING DAY! We were originally going to go with LaShon Brice through a recommendation. Everything was good to go but 4 days before the wedding she decided to mention that she was going to charge us an extra $400 for coming to the hotel. She obviously gets an F, however, PRO EURO DESIGN came to our rescue and I actually like what they did with my hair even more then the trials I had with the other hairstylist. My bridesmaids LOVED their hair and the styles stayed through all the transitions and some even til the next day! we were sooooo impressed!
